2018 Summer Horse Camps
Camps are offered for all levels during each week. Our instructors will place children in appropriate groups based on age, experience/ability.
Morgan Farm offers 3 and 5 day sessions from 9am-3pm. You can sign up for 3 day sessions within any of our scheduled weeks. We suggest Wed., Thurs., Fri. You can, however, choose any 3 days in the week that work best for you.
Our camps are designed for children ages 5 and up to have a hands on learning experience. Children are familiarized with basic safety, rules and procedures. Campers will learn how to brush, lead and tack up a horse. Riding at the beginner level mounted instruction will consist of learning to ride and control a horse at the walk and trot. For those beyond the beginner level, instruction will be appropriate to build on existing skills and ability. Riding group size will be no more than 7 at a time while the other groups will work with assistant camp counselors learning basic horse care or doing horse related crafts.
Friday is our “show day” where children will get a chance to show what they have learned. Families are invited to watch and encouraged to attend. Campers bring their own lunch and drinks. We have refrigerators for lunches and drinks. Campers have access to an air conditioned lounge throughout the day. Please wear jeans and shoes/boots with a small heel. No riding allowed in shorts/capris or sandals is allowed. All children are required to wear a SEI certified riding helmet.
Morgan Farms has approved helmets for campers use. Bike helmets are not allowed.
Sunscreen strongly recommended.
