Bowhunter Education Course

Join MWR and learn how to bow hunt this fall!

On Sep 13^th, from 9am-3:30pm, Bonneville Cabin at Round Pond will be hosting the Bowhunter Education Course, a required class to purchase New York State/West Point Bow Hunting Licenses/Permits (it is also offered online through NYS DEC; however, the in-person class will better prepare you to be certified).

Free and open to ages 11+. There is a 15 person limit for the course, so sign up as soon as possible!

Course certification is good for life.

Students are encouraged to bring: 

• Personal snacks and drinks.  
• Appropriate clothing for the weather and outdoor conditions, including proper footwear.  
• Pen/pencil, sunscreen and bug spray (season dependent) 

Parents or guardians who wish to attend for observational purposes only should notify the instructor in advance.

NOTE: All courses require the completion of homework prior to attending. If you do not complete the homework, you cannot complete the course.
