Nestled in the Hudson Valley just north of the Bear Mountain Bridge, the West Point Golf Course offers an unforgettable golf experience. The West Point Golf Course is an 18-hole challenge on a mountain layout, with well maintained terrain normally seen only at private clubs or high-end courses. Don't let the length fool you this Robert Trent Jones design course is a great challenge for all levels of golf.

One takes a walk through history at the West Point Golf Course, starting with Hole #1 the tee marker reflects upon the American Revolution finishing with #17 and #18 reflecting upon Iraq and Afghanistan. The course is home of Army Golf, the Academy's division one golf team  practices and holds tournaments. A favorite is the Army Navy Match - GO ARMY.

After your round enjoy a choice of over 50 beers, great burgers, wraps and other fabulous freshly made food.

*Please note: we may close the Club House in the event we have a private event or outing. We suggest calling before hand to avoid an adverse experience.

Front 9 Hole-to-Hole Aerial Footage

CourseMap.jpg

Markers all measured to center of green.

100 YARDS: Bright Red, 150 YARDS: White, 200 YARDS: Blue

HOLE 1
From an elevated tee you look down over the first creek (not normally in play) to an open fairway. Second transverse creek not in play if first drive was good! Elevated green slopes back to front and is protected by bunkers on front.

HOLE 2
Hitting up a narrow fairway to a slightly elevated green. Woods on both sides, big drop off on left. Green slopes right to left and is bunkered at the front left.

HOLE 3
Hitting from an elevated tee, transverse creek (not normally in play). Both the fairway and the green slope right to left. Green protected by bunkers on left and right front.

HOLE 4
Blind tee shot to a slight dog leg left, downhill fairway that slopes right to left. Trouble in the woods to right, open adjacent fairway to left. Because you will probably have a downhill lie, the transverse creek will come into play, more so, if your drive was short. Difficult to get to green in two. Be smart lay it up! Green slightly elevated from directly behind creek. Bunkered front left and right slopes rear to front.

HOLE 5
All up hill, woods to right- trouble, Small fairway bunker on right. Green slightly elevated, bunkered front left and right and slopes left to right.

HOLE 6
All carry uphill to a green that slopes left to right and is bunkered on both sides.

HOLE 7
This is the The Big One! Blind tee shot, fairway slopes left to right. Woods left and woods/OB on right. Thick rough. Water definitely comes into play unless you had a monster tee shot. Pond is 20 yards from the green, 80 yards carry and 50 yards in front of the 150 yard marker. 2d lay up shot is the smart move! Green is bunkered front left and right and slopes back left to front right.

HOLE 8
Fairway narrowed by creek and pond on left and woods/OB on right. Need very good tee shot to take out transverse creek fronting the green out of play. Green bunkered right front slopes rear left to front right.

HOLE 9
All carry to an elevated green bunkered across front. Need to come in very high to hold green which slopes front left to rear right.

Back 9 Hole-to-Hole Aerial Footage

Markers all measured to center of green.

100 YARDS: Bright Red, 150 YARDS: White, 200 YARDS: Blue

HOLE 10
A dog-leg right, short hole- hit a good tee shot to left side of fairway, which takes out the first transverse creek and should eliminate the second one from play. Green elevated and SHALLOW (front to rear) and it is bunkered in the front and slopes toward the hole from the front and rear.

HOLE 11
This is a tough one and the handicap doesn't give a true read! POND in front almost all the way to the green. It is all carry. Bunker front left, trouble woods to the rear and right. Green slopes rear to front. Drop area on right side of pond.

HOLE 12
Narrow tree-lined chute from tee. Need straight tee shot as creek and pond on left as well as a creek/OB on the right. Second shot (if drive was good) uphill to elevated green that slopes rear to front.

HOLE 13
All carry, bunker left, woods rear and right. Large green slopes rear right to front left.

HOLE 14
Pond short left from elevated tee (not normally in play). Beautiful view of fairway that slopes left to right on a dog-leg left to a downhill green. Woods left and right are trouble. Green slopes rear to front.

HOLE 15
Elevated tee to fairway bunkered on left, woods to right. Beautiful view! Second shot to slightly elevated green, bunkered front and slopes rear to front. After putting out, back over the bridge to the 16th tee.

HOLE 16
Downhill par 3 hole is pretty straight forward. However due to the severe steep grade it is recommended to play this hole as 20 yards less than the stated yardage. Otherwise you may be re-teeing as you just hit over the stone wall behind the green.

HOLE 17
Big dogleg left, uphill and fairway slopes severely right to left, over the ridge downhill, then back up to an elevated green, bunkered to the front and the green slopes rear right to front left.

HOLE 18
Elevated tee to fairway that slopes left to right. If drive is short, a blind second shot and the transverse creek will be in play. Green bunkered front left and slopes front to rear. Need high shot to hold the green.

Facebook Reviews

Brett DeRoache - April 14, 2017 "This course is absolutely amazing! The fairways were lush and the greens were like glass. From the moment you arrive to check in to the time you are returning your cart the experience is top notch. Will definitely play here for years to come."

Bruce Brandsema - October 9, 2016 "This is a wonderful golf course that will test all of your skills. Elevated tees, slope fairways, elevated greens, and a couple that drop over 100 feet are some of the challenges that keep me going back. While it's a little strange to start on the 5th hole, hopefully this will change when they re-build the clubhouse. But for now, the Ski Lodge serves as a good backup. West Point Golf Course is a true diamond in the rough!!"

Tim Fink - July 18, 2016 "A well kept and challenging course that keeps you on your toes all the time. The mountainous fareways and elevated tees/greens require you to bring your best game ever to this course. The staff (from the starter to the check-in staff) were very friendly and obviously proud of their course. Great course to play."

Tam Alix - December 2, 2015 "It's a course with very panoramic view and challenging greens."
