3D Archery Competition

Join ODR for a 3D Archery Competition! Participants will be shooting life-sized animal targets set in an outdoor course.  Archers aim for specific areas on the targets, with points awarded for accuracy and precision at various distances. and angles. The course will be set in various terrain. All participants must bring their own equipment. All minors 10 and up must be accompanied by an adult.

3D Archery Competition: Range Rules

1. Only active participants and guardians of minors are allowed on the course.
2. Limit of 3 shots per target; only the best shot will be counted.
3. Walk at all times, NEVER run, while on the range.
4. Do not shoot if under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
5. Inspect your equipment before shooting.
6. Always know your target and what is beyond and around it.
7. Clean your area by collecting your gear at the end of your session.
8. Keep arrows in your quiver until you are ready to shoot.
9. Always point arrows downrange or directly at the target.
10. Only shoot at the targets in your assigned lane.
11. Follow the posted range activity signs based on your actions:

• Range: Hot/Live – Preparing to shoot or actively shooting.
  • Never cross into a live shooting lane with your body or equipment.
  • Straddle the shooting line, with one foot on each side, when shooting.
• Collecting Arrows – After completing all 3 shots.
  • Before walking downrange to retrieve arrows, ask “Clear?” and wait for a response.
  • Ensure no one is standing behind you when pulling arrows.
• Range: Cold/Clear – When the range is fully cleared and you’re ready to move to the next range.

12. Respect fellow shooters by giving them plenty of space.
13. Wait for your turn until the previous shooter has collected their arrows, and the sign changes to "Clear."

Obey all range rules at all times. If you witness a safety violation, immediately report it to the staff. Horseplay, pranks, and practical jokes are strictly prohibited on the range.
