Conquer the Vic 5K Trail Run

A welcome letter with information for race day will be sent in advance to the email address used for pre-registration.

There is no pre-race packet pickup. You will pick up your race bib with timing chip at the registration trailer before you race. To be timed, you must have the appropriate race bib. Please show up no more than 15-20 minutes before your race heat to the registration trailer to receive your race bib.

Shirts will be given out with race medals at the finish line as bragging materials for “Conquering The Vic”. The first 150 registered runners will receive a race shirt. If you pre-registered before October 20, you will receive your requested shirt size from your registration. Shirt size not guaranteed after this date.

Are you missing races and challenges like Spartan or Tough Mudders? You’ve shredded down the Victor Constant Ski Area. Do you think you have what it takes to run up it? Now is your chance to Conquer the VIC!!! MWR is hosting a grueling and challenging serpentine style 5K trail run that covers the entire ski resort. Come out and test your endurance and try to Conquer the Vic!!!! Come on, its only 950 vertical feet.

Race will be in a heat format, with heats going out every 20 minutes starting at 8am. Please arrive at the race start line no more than 15 minutes prior to your heat start time.

Want to compete for a trophy? The first two heats will be for competitive times, and prizes will be awarded to the top three male  and top three female times of these combined heats (total of 6 prizes). Trophies will be awarded at the conclusion of the 8:20am heat.

This event is ONLY open to DoD ID Card holders. Space is limited in each heat and spots are not guaranteed for specific heat times for Day of registration.

Registration by October 9 includes race bib, race dri-fit t-shirt, finisher medal and a finisher beverage.
Shirt, shirt size and medal not guaranteed for registrants after October 9 or for Day of registration.
There will be plenty of music playing all along the course  to help motivate you through this tough challenge. 

Race Heats available:
8:00am (competitive), 8:20am (competitive), 8:40am, 9:00am, 9:20am, 9:40am
(Additional heats may be added at a later date if current race capacity is reached)

Packet Pickup:
There will be three options for Packet Pickup:
October 21-23 at the MWR Fitness Center during normal operation hours
October 25 near Race Registration, no more than 15 minutes prior to your race heat start time.

Breakfast On-Site from West Point Golf Course
The West Point Golf Course will have food available for purchase at Conquer The Vic. Items include Danishes, Muffins, Bagels and Hot Breakfast Sandwiches.  Come hungry and ready to eat! If you aren't hungry before the race, you sure will be after you Conquer the Vic!
