Personally Owned Firearm Open Range Session

October 8th, November 5th & 12th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location will be at the Gettysburg Range Complex (Range 5), Highway 293 across from Round Pond. 

Tronsrue Marksmanship Center and WP Range Operations will host a Personally Owned Firearms range for authorized users of West Point Garrison and Community.

Authorized users must have a Department of Defense issued form of identification and present it at the range. One guest is authorized for each identification card holder and the guest must sign a liability waiver.
Authorized users include: Active duty military personnel, staff, faculty and their families assigned to West Point or directly supported by it, U.S. Military Academy at West Point Cadets and Cadets of all service academies who are assigned to West Point, DOD Civilians, retired Military personnel and their families. Minors (ages 10 and up) must be accompanied by their sponsor at all times.

Personnel transporting weapons, to the Gettysburg Range Complex (Range 5), that are not in compliance with New York state law are reminded to have a copy of their orders assigning them to West Point and their Department of Defense issued form of identification.

All personnel attending this event must adhere to the following instructions:
1. All patrons are responsible to bring their own paper targets, hearing & eye protection.
2. Pistols, shotguns and rifles are permitted. Rifles are limited to 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester) cartridges or below.
3. Automatic weapons are not allowed.
4. One guest per ID card holder permitted (liability waiver enforced).
5. Mine Torne Road will be closed during these dates and times.
