Military OneSource is a U.S. Department of Defense program that provides free, confidential support and resources to active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their families. They offer a wide range of services including counseling, financial advice, relocation assistance, career coaching, and help with everyday challenges. 

 

Financial Assistance:

 

Army Emergency Relief (AER):

AER provides funds to help Soldiers (active and retired), their eligible Families, and spouses and children of deceased Soldiers requiring immediate financial assistance.

American Red Cross:

Financial assistance from military aid societies may be available to active-duty service members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard, military retirees, medically retired servicemen/women and their eligible family members.

Exceptional Family Member Program:

The Exceptional Family Member Program assists military families with special needs. Services include ongoing non-clinical case base management support to achieve identified goals based on the needs of the family.

Financial Readiness:

Financial Readiness provides education, personal financial counseling, and information to assist individuals in developing skills and strategies to fulfill their financial obligations, meet financial goals and maintain their financial and mission readiness.

 

Fort Hamilton Financial Counselor:

Support and counseling services include face-to-face appointments with individuals and families, group presentations, referrals to military and community resources, support for family members during deployments, and help with budgeting, credit management and navigating benefits.
