West Point Youth Sports and Instructional Programming offers a variety of sports, fitness and quality instructional program options for children & youth living at West Point. Instructional programs are generally scheduled in several sessions throughout the year in various Family & MWR facilities on post.

Our philosophy promotes, supports and encourages the development of character, athleticism, sportsmanship & healthy lifestyle skills. We believe all children should have the opportunity to learn, grow, build lasting relationships in a fun, safe and positive environment.

Children and Youth currently registered with West Point CYS Services are eligible to enroll for SKIES classes using WebTrac.

Volunteer Coaching & Teaching

If you played sports as a kid or in college and want to pay it forward to today's youth, then become a volunteer coach! Even if you have never played or coached a sport before, you can still become a certified volunteer coach! CYS Volunteer Coaches encourage all children to explore the world of sports, learn the fundamentals of good sportsmanship and have fun at the same time. Contact CYS Sports and Fitness to begin the process.

Coaching Requirements:

  • Required CPR/First Aid & instructional training provided by CYS prior to the season.

  • Fees are waived for children of CYSFP Volunteer Coaches.

  • Background checks must be cleared on all coaches prior to team assignment.
  • Coaches must attend one of the coaches clinics to review the rules and coaching policies and become certified through the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS).
