Youth Center Re-opening Rules

COVID UPDATES

1.      All youth and staff must wear masks upon entering the Youth Center, no exceptions. Youth will be warned one time to wear a face mask if taken off, then be spoken to by mgmt., parents will be called, and based upon the situation, youth may be sent home.

2.      Participants must enter and exit through the front door, unless permission is given by staff to do otherwise, or in the case of an emergency. Participants must maintain 6 feet social distancing guidelines upon entering the facility and waiting to sign in. Youth will be screened upon entry into the facility, given hand sanitizer, and 3 youth will be let in at a time upon arrival, sign in, and will immediately wash their hands.

3.      All youth must sign in and out on the paper copy sign in sheet for emergency purposes. YS staff will be signing youth into CYMS- youth will no longer scan cards at entry.

4.      Respect is expected from all participants at all times. Youth will show respect to each other, to staff, to themselves, and to YS property and equipment.

5.      High standards of social conduct will be maintained. Theft, fighting, gambling, violence, vandalism, bullying, profane language, and obscene gestures are prohibited at the Youth Center or on Youth Center grounds.

6.      Youth Center equipment property and equipment is purchased with government funds and must be treated with care and respect to ensure damage does not occur. Those responsible for damage due to improper behavior will be held liable. All equipment and furniture will be disinfected and sanitized after each use.

7.      Food and drinks will be consumed in the lobby/ snack area only, in accordance with Army Regulations.

8.      Youth will be served snack every day from 230-330 p.m. In the snack area there will be no more than 20 youth at one time, tables will be properly spaced and disinfected after each use, and snack will be pre-plated, youth will no longer serve themselves.

9.      Inappropriate expressions of affections are not permitted in the Youth Center or on Youth Center property. Staff members will be present at all times in every activity room to maintain social distancing guidelines and ensure proper conduct is followed. There will be a maximum number of kids allowed into each room (for example, high school lounge will allow no more than 10 youth at one time).

10.  Youth are responsible for cleaning up messes they make and returning issues items for any activities they participate in while in the Youth Center. Staff will disinfect and sanitize used equipment/replace with clean equipment.

11.  Youth are solely responsible for the safekeeping of their property. Lockers are available for use. Any youth using a lock on their lockers must remove the lock and any items before the Youth Center closes. All lockers will be disinfected and sanitized at the end of each use, locker use will be every other.

12.  All participants are expected to dress appropriately. Over revealing clothing, or clothing featuring alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or inappropriate messages are prohibited.

13.  Possession, consumption, or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is illegal and will be dealt with according to the Military Police, U.S. Army Garrison, and USMA procedures.

14.  Smoking and the use of tobacco in any form in or on the premises is prohibited.

15.  Possession of devices normally recognized as deadly or dangerous weapons such as knives, guns, firecrackers, etc. is strictly prohibited.

16.  Free WiFi is provided for youth. Use of WiFi and personal devices must be done in accordance with YS rules. Youth must fill out proper technology paperwork (in registration packet) to utilize the YS WiFi. Inappropriate music, videos, and messages sent from personal devices are prohibited at the Youth Center.

17.  The youth will sit at every other computer in the technology lab. Computer and computer desks will be wiped down after each use.

18.  Taking pictures of videos of youth using technology in a derogatory nature to publically hurt or embarrass a peer(s), and posting on the internet is prohibited in the YS.

19.  Guests are allowed in accordance with the Guest Policy on a space available basis.

Youth Sports & Instructional Programs

Fall Youth Sports will commence September 14-November 5. Sports offered are Soccer, Flag Football, and Running Club. Masks must be worn by all players and spectators.
